RACE NOTES: It was a spectacular week, variable wind and sea conditions made for challenging and FUN sailing. Friday the 7th showed a shortened course signal from the race committee which confused some competitors as Larry Drew and Terry Anderlini sailing the right way with a 1st and 2nd place, but the other boats rounding the weather mark in different directions with some scary moments (boats coming at each other head on) and after all was said and done, it resulted in an abandoned race. Early on, you knew it'd be a battle for 1st place between Chris Perkins and Soren Pehrsson with the rest of us competing for the remaining spots. Saturday 9/8..more crazy roundings today as a result of a drifting Gate mark, with boats going both ways around the leeward mark this time...masts coming down at the weather mark...an interesting final day of the IKC.

Final Results show Chris Perkins, Hans Baldauf, Phil Perkins and Hisham Sinawi as winners of the 39th IKC in a well sailed Regatta with Soren Pehrsson in a close 2nd.  Click Here for FINAL RESULTS

All in all a wonderful week of friendship and sport, this IKC has not disappointed the sailors or spectators.
